Halo-themed cake for work! With Halo Wars coming out my bosses were more than okay with me finally going forward with this. The trees were a little tricky (Christ-on-a-crouton, I wish we used molding chocolate!) but it all came out looking pretty sweet. I will admit that the helmet took FOREVER to dry enough to where I could safely handle it for painting. Fondant isn't my friend sometimes... *sigh*

I will also admit that this was the most fun I've had with my job, EVER. Now if only they'd let me do a Wrath of the Lich King theme....

That's amazing! Where in the world do you work at? I was banned from free hand drawing on cakes at the Wal-mart bakery I worked at because it was "mean to the other cake decorators"... I would have loved to do something like that! ... not that mine would have looked that good. ;)

And by-the-by... I took a peek and I don't think you would do as poorly as you assume. They definitely need to start giving you a little leg room.

My walmart encourages me to do stuff like this because no other decorators want to (or in some cases, can't), so it opens up a lot of business for us. Your bosses are fools to tell you not to. I currently work at the "new" store in Lincoln, Nebraska.

I think it's like The Flood everywhere - I honesty was going to comment before that it had everything except for that, when I realized that those mushroom-looking things...

.. were Fungal SPOREs from another (Game?) Galaxy (possibly!).
reference to another CG.
Everything else is so overwhelming.
