This time management actually asked me to do this for the midnight DVD release of Twilight. Nine hours of labor, eight Styrofoam/fondant apples, two Styrofoam/fondant chess pieces, one fondant ribbon, and one fondant flower later... success! I molded every piece you see here and the end result was worth the headaches. Everyone loved the cake and the release party was actually a lot of fun. I met a fellow decorator there and we swapped ideas.  I'm not sure what inspired using "apples" to hold the tiers but it really set off the theme so I'm glad I skipped the usual columns for support. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
